Speedcubing is a competitive sport that involves solving cube puzzles as fast a possible. Waypoint visits a recent tournament that was attended by some of the fastest and most passionate speedcubers in the game. Since the 1980’s, Speedcubing has captured the minds of mathematicians and puzzle enthusiasts. In recent years, competitive speedcubing has grown into an international craze, and the median age keeps dropping. While the world record holder is in his 20’s, most competitors are under the age of 18.
