Singapore-born pioneer entrepreneur Ng Kim Chuan built a road leading to his plantation and bungalow in Paya Lebar. Along the road was a unique Kim Chuan Village. In the early 1950s, his property was acquired and became part of the Singapore International Airport. Despite undergoing massive changes, the land he once owned and legacy remains in the hearts of his descendants today. 巴耶利峇地区有条荒凉的金泉路，由上世纪富商黄金泉所修建，通向他的椰园与别墅，路旁是个独特的金泉村。1950年代初黄金泉的椰园被征用，兴建新加坡国际机场。他曾拥有的土地彻底改观，但他的遗迹和精神今天依然留存在后人心中。
