Professor Lim Pin began his career at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1966 as a lecturer and was the Vice Chancellor from 1981 to 2000. In 2000, he was named the first University Professor of NUS. In this clip, he explained how open-book examinations is a move towards instilling innovation and creativity in students, as they go about utilising information and principles necessary for problem-solving.
