As part of its 10th anniversary celebrations, the Orchestra of the Music Makers (OMM) performs Mahler's "Resurrection" Symphony, eight years after its critically acclaimed 2010 performance, which was heralded by critics as a musical "tour de force", and "truly, an epic performance." A symphony like no other, Mahler took six years to perfect this work that changed the musical landscape forever. Combining enormous orchestral forces with a massive chorus and two vocal soloists, the Symphony takes the listener from early solemnity to an apocalyptic conclusion, depicting life, death, and heavenly transcendence.
