For centuries, the human race has been locked in an unending battle with a deadly virus which is 5 million times smaller than the size of a normal human being. Millions of people have died in the process. But through the ages, scientists have successfully contained the spread of many diseases with vaccines and anti-viral drugs, putting an end to the health crisis. That humanity is still alive today is testament to the fact that the human race has managed to respond effectively to these killer viruses. But the emergence of a new viral outbreak, COVID-19 clearly shows that the fight against these viruses is far from over. Do humans still have what it takes to fight these deadly viruses ? Can the battle be won ?
