Muslim American youth find themselves at the intersection of many challenges facing America. This include violence, immigration, politics, Islamophobia, racism, religion and extremism. Coupled with this, they are also facing within the Muslim community, rising ethnic-religious identity, conservatism and sense of displacement. With the increasing politicization of Islam in the public discourse, many Muslim youth are turning to religious education to come to terms with their own questions about their religious identity.
