DETIK Selidik gives an insight to an age-old tradtion in East Java. Girls as young as 6 years old are married off by their parents. In the coastal region of Sumenep, the social implications is reaching a critical point. Almost half of child marriages there end up in divorce. Many child brides are subject to abuse and contract sexual diseases as a result of the marriage. The documentary takes and in-depth look on the struggles of young girls who got married against their will.
